Welder / Fabricator

Join Meal Deal Workshop, a dynamic and innovative fabrication business catering to a diverse clientele that includes architects, interior designers, artists, and various other clients. We specialise in producing high-quality bespoke work tailored to our clients' unique visions.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Metalworker who will play a key role in ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality within specified timelines. This role involves working across a variety of projects, collaborating with different clients and industries.

Responsibilities:
Craft and fabricate metalwork to exact specifications, ensuring exceptional quality and timely delivery.
Work confidently from fabrication drawings
Work with steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, and other materials as per project requirements.
Utilise MIG welding predominantly, with proficiency in TIG welding (especially for stainless steel and aluminium). Knowledge of ARC welding for on-site work is desirable.
Operate general workshop tools including Cold saw, pillar drill, and hand tools. Familiarity with Mill, lathe, and power hammers is beneficial.
Independently manage tasks while contributing effectively to a closely-knit team based on project scale.
Undertake works as required on site
Adhere strictly to safe working practices at all times.

Requirements:
2 to 3 years of relevant experience in metalworking. (Essential)
Proficiency in MIG welding; and in TIG welding; ARC welding is advantageous. (Essential)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. (Essential)
Commitment to maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail. (Essential)
Experience in working across diverse projects like staircases, shop displays, sculptures, furniture, interior fit-outs, and event-based projects. (Essential)
Ability to adhere to strict project deadlines. (Essential)
CSCS Card (Desirable)
Driving Licence (Desirable)
